Interesting course, but with an unfinished look as soon as you look beyond the layout which, thankfully, occurs only on a few holes.
This par 71 starts with a beautiful short par-3 1st hole, with nice red flowers in front of the green and is followed by a right dogleg par-5 2nd hole, with an uphill tee shot and a blind approach shot downhill to the green with a big bunker on the right.
After the short downhill par-4 3rd hole, with three little bunkers in front of the green, the par-3 4th is quite nice too, with red flowers, again in front, just like the left dogleg par-4 5th hole, with a big bunker splitting the narrow fairway mideway across.
The last par-3 on the front 9, the 6th hole, has a round pond in front (which needs a little work on the edges) and trees surrounding the green, unlike the right dogleg par-5 7th hole where, after a downhill tee shot, you will need to hit an uphill approach shot to the green.
My favorite hole is the long (more than 620 yards) and right dogleg par-5 10th, where you will have to be careful with your tee shot to avoid landing in the hollow wasteland full of bushes across the fairway and, with your approach shot toward the downhill green with, again, big bushes in front.
After the par-4 12th hole, slightly uphill with a pond across in front of the green, the next three holes are uphill doglegs until you reach the downhill par-3 16th hole, with a small bunker in front (and a big... transparent tree near the hole !) before finishing with the long and left dogleg par-5 18th hole, with two uphill shots.
If plantings are well done, Augusta and Firestone can rest on their laurels as this course is not as beautiful but it plays smoothly, thanks to baddog 3095's nice work...
