Stunning visually, this par-69 course is a pure delight to play. From the castle at the top to the beautiful sea, from the sparse planting to the undulated fairways, from the numerous little mounds to the houses lined up near some holes, everything is "Wales" designed. Like a typical links course, there are plenty of very narrow fairways and few bunkers to keep you in check. Yet, strangely enough, I did not end up on and in any of them, but spent most of my time... in the rough, leaving me some tough approach shots to the greens which thankfully, are pretty smooth. For once, I have a hard time picking up some favorite holes, be it on the front 9 or the back 9. The par-4 2nd with its view of the castle, the par-4 3rd hole with the houses lined up to the right, the par-3 4th hole with all these mounds in the background ? Or what about the two par-5 7th (with its 6 isolated trees) and 8th holes, with their very narrow fairways ? On the back 9, the par-4 10th with a blind tee shot and its little creek running in the middle of the fairway is nice too as is the par-4 12th with another view of the castle. Just like BJMac mentioned below, the par-3 14th is something to behold with a blind tee shot. Even when you click on "Find the flag", it is hard to see the green among all those mounds. The next 3 holes are pretty nice too with their very narrow fairways, making the 18th hole look easy in comparison... A definite keeper for me. Thank you, once again, Jimbo63, for all your time & efforts in making this masterpiece !

A great design. Despite the lack of trees a really attractive setting and I certainly felt like I was there. Not quite on my favourites list of British tracks but still a really good challenge and some super holes. I particularly enjoyed the back 9, especially the par 3 14th - a ripper! Cheers!

Can anyone help!
I can only see the castle some of the buildings and the tee makers as just black silhouettes.
I have reloaded the course libraries and tried various detail settings but no change.
Any suggestions?

I meant to add the course IS the most inconstant course I'v played. But hey it might be just the TW 08 game it's self.

First off I'v been playing the TW golf games since 04. I'v learned how to play the wind, up hill and down hill lie's. I play quite well, and have hit hundreds if not thousands of similar shots. But on this course the same kind of shots would come up short or go long. As for the wind directions sometimes the wind would move the ball normally sometimes not at all. Two stars because the greens putted true, and I like the little mound greens, those are always fun to shoot at.

Brilliant course and yet another gem for the Jimbo63 collection again caught the atmosphere of this course like the choice of the gorse texture. thanks
