On certain courses at random holes this problem will crop up and only way is to use Task Manager to kill off the TW2008 process. Not sure why this happened but to me it's sort of "Out of Sync" to the graphics card(either my Intel HD4600 internal or nVidia G 740M external.
Just wondering anyone else have this problem? Please advice.
Thanks.

Is the Intel HD4600 n on-board card chipset, I can suggest ? make sure it is disabled in the Bios / Cmos and use the Nvidia G 740M , also a good thing to have for Nvidia cards and AMD cards as well is the DDU tool , this cleans out old card Drivers . I use it and all ways do a [clean ] install of new drivers fro my GTX 1060 6gb card.
If you get the DDU tool have the latest drivers ready for install Hyper link to the DDU tool http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html |

Also sometimes older drivers will work better for TW08. On the link below, you can find some older nvidia drivers:

It happened on both internal(Intel HD4600) and also external(nVidia HD4600) that's why I found it hard to explain. It can happen at certain holes only which is where I got stuck.

Pat,
thing is I always do a clean install and actually rolled back drivers to early 2017 yet when displaying score card will just freeze. Even Ctrl-Alt-Del won't bring up Task Manager meaning I've to manually power off the laptop.

Have you tried re-downloading that course and re-installing it? That yardage is probably why the game freezes and makes me think that the course file you are using could be corrupt. |

Jim may be correct about a corrupt file , I downloaded this course and it will not start up , I checked the caddie and also ran sync my Libs , uninstalled it and downloaded again without any luck . deleted it using the caddie and did it manually as well |

I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it but I wanted to let you know that I just downloaded the course and played 18 holes without a problem. (even had an albatross on #2). I am running Window 7 - 64 bit OS with 8GB Ram, a AMD Radeon HD 7800 series graphics card and a Crucial 128GB SSD. |

i think i seen that "Out Of Sync" only when i was trying to install my version of windows 10....before i could even play the game. I had more than one message error at that time and others helped me to play. If this is the only course it happens i believe it would be my course vs your computer problem. Meaning something about my course or a certain hole does not display correctly on your computer. I will continue to look and help with your problem |

on the 1st photo i want to say that it looks like what happens when you build a course too close to the edge of the plot with no pano, that blurring effect. This course has a pano and no hole is closer than 500 yards from the edge of the plot size at 3000 x 3000 my standard size. |

Actually not this course only, quite a number of courses by CGX I'll have this problem. Maybe I download the course again and try.
Thanks!

Plugged in an old HDD running Win 7, everything ran smoothly. Both display drivers ran flawlessly. So guess TW 08 does have some issues with certain hardware on Win 10? I need to try to play this at the home PC, last time it ran flawlessly too on Win 7 and later on Win 10 but MOBO died so didn''t try after that as spend more time out of home. Now to make Win 7 run on USB boot...

Hiya guys, not sure how to fix, but maybe you can try to run the course in compatibility mode. On desktop right click TW08 icon, choose properties......compatibility And check box: Run this program in compatibility mode....and in the list choose: XP ( service pack3) Not sure it will help but that is what i would try. |
