Hiya are you using win8 or Win 10 ?
Anyway you can try this fix:

You can try this when you have message: Direct X is reporting there is not enough memory:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 2 methods, you have to choose 1 method.

Method1: ( by JoSummer )
--------
You can get around this problem by limiting the system RAM. To do so ..

1. press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog, type msconfig, and click/tap on OK.

2. under the Boot tab in System Configuration, click on the Advanced options button

3. check the Maximum memory box and set the value to 4095, hit ok and reboot the system when asked.

You shouldn''t have any disadvantages by doing so, because there''''s only a few applications or games that are actually addressing (benefit from) more than 4GB system RAM.

Method 2: ( by CutesyButton )
---------
I do have another workaround however, where you don''''t have to restrict RAM so I''l put it here as another option.

Step One:-
Go to http://dege.freeweb.hu/ and download the latest version of DG Voodoo.

Step Two:-

Extract the DGVoodoo Setup program and DDraw.dll and D3Dlmm.dll files into the bin directory of your Tiger Woods 08 install.

Step Three:-

Run the DgVoodoo setup program.

Step Four:-

Head to the directX tab and uncheck "Disable and passthru to real DirectX".

Step Five:-

In the VRAM drop box, type a reasonable value like 520000 KB (note the space between the number and KB) - while it is a drop down box with 3 values, it accepts typed ones as well.

Note- The resolution changes didn''t work for me here, so I had to use the universal widescreen program (from widescreengaming) and the Tiger 2004 (Custom Menu) res patch to get 1920x1080.

Step Six:-

Run the game, and hey presto. Can confirm this works for Tiger 07 as well.

My Setup:- FX8350/Radeon HD7950 3GB/16GB Memory

Yes good luck, for some reason the fixes are working for some people, but not working for other members, not sure why that is.

Hello, the only thing you can try is to try to roll back to an older Graphics card driver.
Sometimes the older drivers are working better, not sure it will help you though.

Sometimes you can have a new graphics card with an outdated driver as well. These cards sit on the shelf for a while sometimes, whether its in the plant, warehouse or store. I would see if the manufactures page has an updated driver as well.

That is what Pat's post (#2) was all about. There is just something going on (X-Files time) that some are having issues with W10/GPU (both Nvidia and AMD) and getting TW08 to work on W10. For some reason the memory fix outlined above is not working. :-(

Have you tried the ddraw-wrapper-dll from this thread?

http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=10602&forum=11

... attaching it again!

Just copy the dll into the /bin folder of the game installation!

Hiya , there is no trojan horse in the attachment, it must be a false alarm.

You may want to uninstall an update MS did a long while back, though I thought it was mainly for W7. Worth a try though. The update is reference in this MS article:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3086255/ms15-097-description-of-the-security-update-for-the-graphics-component-in-windows-september-8,-2015

The possible fix is:

Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following subkey in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\secdrv
Right-click Start, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, do one of the following:
Type 4 to disable the driver's service, and then click OK.
Type 3 to set the driver's service to manual, and then click OK.
Type 2 to set the driver's service to automatic, and then click OK.
Exit Registry Editor.

Type 2 worked for me with MVP Baseball 2005 running Windows 7. Again, not sure if this is completely related. As always, if you are doing any registry tweaks, always back it up first.

Concerning video cards, sometimes older drivers are actually better for older games vs. new ones. Unfortunately it may be hard to find drivers that are old enough.

The other option which I will do once I'm forced to use Windows 10 when MS stops supporting W7, is to partition the drive (or get another HDD) and install XP or 7 on there and run older games from there.
