Hi All, ok with my new computer I tried method 1 by restricting my memory to 4092 which only allow 2.9Gb and tw08 kept having all these different type problems.... booting out to the desktop..... ending the game after 3 holes..... screen stay black..... poor graphics ... etc. So I used method 2, which works but only can get a resolution of 1024x768 with the dgvoodoo set up. I not understand the universal widescreen program or the custom menu thing. Stuck with no tw08 would someone please help me out .... thank you all

Is this with a laptop or desktop and what is the resolution of your monitor? For example, if you don't have a monitor capable of more than 1024x768 you can't get any better than that. Specs of the PC and monitor would be helpful!

Have you investigated the Universal Widescreen Program?

Does anyone have any experience with the universal widescreen program that CutseyButton writes of in step 5 here http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=10042&forum=11?

Hi guys, i didn t try the widescreen patcher on a win10 system, but maybe you will find some help below:

http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=8879&forum=11

Note:
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 does not have native widescreen support. To force custom resolutions, download the Universal Widescreen Patcher and select the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 (Custom Menu Resolution) profile. Follow the instructions in UniWS to patch your DXWrap.dll file and then select the 800x600 resolution in game.

The menu screens will stay at 800x600 but gameplay will be at your chosen resolution.

Makes me curious then, because I have a 1600x900 monitor and with win10 everything is in fullscreen, even the menus. Makes me wonder if this will still be the case when I upgrade to a better monitor or not.

Please let us know how this turns out for you!!!

yes it was a new Ausa Desktop - Intel Core i7 6700k 4ghz - 12GB Memory - 1TB+8GB Hybrid Hard Drive..... i didn't buy for tw08 but did not think I would have a problem playing the game. I been building and playing tw08 on a Sony Desktop PC R VGC-RA820G Pentium 4 3.2E(540) 2 GB 200 GB (SATA) HDD ATI Radeon hd6770 Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition 2005.... the Monitor is Matte black, 34" LED monitor for business meetings
Ultrawide display with 2560 x 1080 pixel resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio delivers crisp, HD-quality images

It sounds like a nice rig with that monitor with it as well. I think I would try the Universal Widescreen Patch found here http://www.wsgf.org/article/universal-widescreen-uniws-patcher before I just gave up on it. You would have to sign up for a free account to access it, but it may be worth it. I know that if I had your rig I would be trying it before calling it a day and going back to the old standby.
