this course is beautiful to look at and very enjoyable to play, thanks to j&m design !
on this par-72, you will see some very nice landscape, with undulated and/or slanted fairways, uphill and downhill shots, water hazards and some very cute small stone bridges. most of the fairways are pretty wide, give or take a few and, good news, you won't have to beat around the bush because there are... hardly any on the course !
the par-5 1st hole is very interesting as j&m decided to carve his own initials on a small mound near the green, a cute reminder of his great work to be seen ahead ! the par-3 5th is very nice with a big pond in front of the green and the par-5 6th is pretty too with water on both side of the fairway, at the beginning and near the green.
the downhill tee shot on the par-4 7th is gorgeous with all the water on the right side, just like the uphill approach to the clubhouse on the par-4 9th.
the back 9 is even nicer with its hilly landscape. the par-3 12th hole with a small hill on the right side is very nice to look at, but the par-4 13th hole - my favorite - is even prettier with a little creek running along the fairway on the left and houses sitting on top of the hill on the right.
while the 14th and 15th holes are nice too, the par-3 16th is very scenic with its little stone bridge on the left and water near the green.
with its manicured look, this course is a definite keeper for me and a nice addition to my collection of the best around-the-world golf courses. thank you, once again, j&m design !

i can't believe i am the first one to comment on this course... 12 years after its release !
anyway, this par-71 course, located in brooksville, florida, is not the best creation of a1stpoet but it is mainly due to the fact that this terrain was a waste land before.
if the panorama is not spectacular, the course plays smoothly and a1stpoet did a very good job with the waste bunkers and the texture used for the rough.
on the front 9, i like the par-3 3rd hole with the little creek running close to the green and the very short (481 yards !) and slightly downhill par-5 4th hole (maybe because i just scored my 2nd albatross of my pc career - lol !).
on the back 9, i like the dogleg to the left par-5 14th with all its waste bunkers but the most original hole is the following one, a par-4, with its... two fairways, giving you the option of either playing it safe (to the left) or trying to reach the green (to the right) which is very feasable. (like they say : "when on a road, you come to a fork, take it!").
the final dogleg par-4 18th is not spectacular but is a good summary of what you will have faced on this course, nicely recreated by a1stpoet.

this par-72 course has a very nice panorama that blends in well with the wide fairways and all the lakes around.
while not the most challenging, this course plays well and has quite a few nice holes, starting with the par-4 3rd and the downhill dogleg par-5 9th. the back 9 also offers some nice holes, such as the par-4 11th with a creek running through the fairway, and the par-3 12th hole, my favorite, very pretty to look at with the meandering water next to the green. the par-4 15th also has a nice view from the tee.
in short, a nice little course from tee off golf but not his best ever...

based on a real course in baton rouge, louisiana, this course is located in zachary, about 20 miles from the capital city
before teeing off, take a look at the left side : as mentioned in previous comments, 4... tires are just standing there on the walking path of the 1st hole, waiting for the rest of the cart to show up. (i guess they were too... tired to do a... cartwheel !).
once you get back to reality, you will see plenty of water around holes on this par-72, such as on the very nice par-3 2nd hole, with the green close to a creek and the par-5 9th hole.
on the back 9, nice wooden bridges can be seen on the par-4 10th and the nicer par-3 11th holes until you reach the par-5 14th, where you will be faced with a blind shot over bushes to reach the green on your second shot.
as for the par-4 17th and the par-5 18th, they are nice too in their own way, even though this couree is not the most difficult you will ever face.
but with its smooth play and nice plantings, it is one of these courses that you need to play at least once...

another excellent golf course from tee off golf...
set in orlando with a view of the beach on a few holes, it is hard to concentrate when looking at the nice plantings, undulated fairways and the lakes.
the first two holes will take your breath away with the sea in the background (par-4 1st) and small hills far away on the par-5 2nd hole. the sharpt dogleg to the right par-4 3rd hole is gorgeous with the water on the right. but the best hole is the par-4 9th, a dogleg to the left with an iron bridge leading to the green surrounded by bunkers.
the back 9 has a lot of straight holes with water nearby but my favorite hole is the scenic par-3 15th with the green surrounded by water on both sides while the par-5 17th is nice too.
in short, this course is very enjoyable to look at (and to play), thanks to tee off golf...

well, this is not a course for... poets ! if you don't concentrate 100%, you will end up either in the water, the swamps or the high rough.
with very narrow fairways on most holes, you definitely need accuracy if you don't want to have nightmares at the end of your round.
the par-4 1st hole has a little creek running near the green while the twisted par-4 2nd hole has a very narrow fairway and water on both sides. the par-4 5th hole has a little creek in the middle of the fairway while the nice par-3 7th has water on both sides and a tough pin placement. as for the par-5 9th hole, you will need to hit a blind shot to reach the green to see all the golf carts, nicely parked...
on the back 9, the par-3 12th, with its tough flag placement close to the water, and the par-3 17th, with its very beautiful view, will require precise shots while the par-4 18th, with its serpentine creek should convince you to go back to the... university, as this course designed by a1stpoet, gets an a+ in my book.

very nice little course with its wide layout and nice hilly panorama. there are a lot of big bushes and few trees but the sloped fairways and the blind tee shots make it very enjoyable.
set on a plateau in oceanside, this par-72 course has some nice views with its valley and you even get to catch a glimpse of the ocean far, far away (on the 4th hole).
the first two holes are similar with long downhills tee shots (especially on the 2nd hole - 613 yards), while the next holes have some slanted fairways and look nice (5th, 7th, 9th).
on the back 9, the par-4 12th and 14th holes look nice (especially the first one with its nice green downhill), but the best holes are the last three : the par-4 16th is gorgeous with its island green, the par-4 17th with its blind tee shot and slanted fairway looks fine, while the par-4 18th is superb too with its beautiful lake and view in the front of the green.
overall, this course is a definite keeper, thanks to tee off golf who did a great job with arrowood.

excellent course and design. looks gorgeous and every hole is intriguing and challenging. nothing to not like about this...oh except maybe some of those devilish greens, ouch! love it and will be one i play regularly. (felt the exact same way about crumpin-fox too, which i believe is a sister-course, but couldn't leave a comment unfortunately.) cheers!

fantastic design. never a dull moment on this one. plenty to gaze at all round but for me the top kodak moments were holes 13-14-15, especially the par 3 13th. what a ripper! provided you play decently you should have a handsome looking scorecard by the end too. great stuff, loved it, cheers!

even though this course plays smoothly, it is not very challenging. with no plantings other than trees and hardly any bunkers, this par-72 course looks bare.
most holes are straight but the par-5s, next to the lakes, are nice, starting with the 5th hole, the 9th - my favorite - with its narrow fairway, the 14th and the 18th.
not enough, however, to keep this course, designed by ron717 who came up with some nicer ones over the years...

this course plays smoothly and looks "nice and clean".
willie did a good job with the layout (love those walking paths !) and the planting is pretty nice with those high trees, flowers and bushes, not to mention the ponds and lakes.
the front 9 has quite a few nice holes (the dogleg par-5 1st hole, the par-4 2nd hole with its flowers, the downhill par-4 3rd with a creek running midway through the fairway, the par-3 4th with a narrow green next to a pond and the very sharp dogleg to the right, par-5 7th.
there is, however, a small displaying bug on the nice par-4 9th as houses appear fuzzy near the green...
on the back 9, as mentioned below in a comment, the par-4 13th hole is very tricky and offers a tough dilemma : either back off and hit a pitching wedge to get close to the end of the fairway (about 130 yards) or try your luck by hitting a monster drive, hoping to clear the water and the bridge (easier said than done !).
greens have a few slopes and can be tough at times but this course is fun to play...

warning : if you like "the sound of silence", then don't play this course (lol) !
the members club at grande dunes is simply... superb !
if you are a bird lover, then you will love this course as it has plenty of bird noises through the first 7 holes to the point of making you feel, at times, like you are at the zoo or in the jungle. in fact, this will test your concentration level but if you don't like birds (but only... birdies !), then you have a choice : either play with... ear plugs or turn down the sound !
as for the course itself, it is simply awesome : there are all kinds of shades of trees, plantings are gorgeous, lakes are very nice and small details, like golf carts, benches, garbage bins, etc., are all well done. and what about the clubhouse ? it is simply one of the most beautiful you will ever see !
this course has lots of great looking holes : on the front 9, the par-4 2nd hole is gorgeous with its trees and narrow fairway, just like the par-3 4th with its two bridges. but the par-5 5th hole, surrounded by water on... three sides, is simply superb. the par-3 6th hole is very nice too and the par-4 9th with the lake on the right side and the clubhouse near the green, magnificent !
the back 9 is a little bit different (and quieter !) with fewer trees and more space. but the last three holes are worth the wait : the par-3 16th with the green close to the water and the very scenic par-4 17th are very nice.
but the "signature" hole is the par-4 18th : parallel to the 9th (but on the right side), it is even more beautiful with big bunkers in the middle of the fairways... and that gorgeous clubhouse.
needless to say, this course designed by crater24842 is simply a masterpiece and is a definite top 10 in my book...
thank you so much for your time & efforts, crater24842 ! myrtle beach can be proud of you...

warning : if you like the "sound of silence", then don't play this course (lol) !
this course is simply... superb !
designed by crater24842, it is a pure masterpiece, provided you either love birds or... ear plugs ! through the first 7 holes, your concentration is tested to its highest level with all kinds of bird noises which make you feel, at times, like you are in the middle of the jungle.
but don't get me wrong : i love it (after all, that's quite a change from other golf courses) but, then again, if you don't like it, just turn down the sound !
as for the course itself, it is awesome : the various shades of trees, the flowers, the bushes, the texture of the fairways, the golf carts, the lakes and... that unbelievable clubhouse (wow) !
a lot of holes are fantastic, starting with the par-4 2nd hole with its narrow fairway and continuing with the par-3 4th and its two bridges.
but the par-5 5th is even better : the fairway has water on three sides ! the par-3 6th hole is beautiful too and the par-4 9th is simply superb with the lake on the right side and the clubhouse.
the back 9 is a little bit different (and very quiet !) with fewer trees and more space. but the last 3 holes are gorgeous : the par-3 16th with the green close to the water, the very scenic par-4 17th and the awesome par-4 18th (which is parallel to the 9th but to the right side) with bunkers in the middle of the fairway and the clubhouse to finish in high style.
as if you did not guess it yet, this course is a definite top 10 in my book : what a fantastic job done by crat24842. thank you so much for sharing this beauty !

located in plantation, florida, this course plays smoothly.
tee off golf designed a nice course with gorgeous villas (unlike buildings, a little bit too dark...), beautiful plantings and plenty of... water along the fairways.
the front 9 is more challenging than the back 9. the dogleg par-4 1st, with water on the left side, and the two par-3 3rd (next to the lake) and 8th holes (with all the villas to the right) are pretty while the par-5 9th is lined up on the right side with villas.
the back 9 is more straight forward but is still fun to play and to... keep !

gorgeous course with lots of downhill tee shots and slanted fairways.
plantings are very nice and water hazards (lakes and creeks) will test your accuracy on this par-72 course.
the first two par-4 holes are very similar with slanted fairways and look nice, just like the par-3 3rd and the par-4 4th (with the lake on the left and houses in the background). but the two nicest holes are the par-3 7th (with your shot flying over the creek uphill to the green) and the par-4 8th, a dogleg to the left with the slanted fairway and a creek running to the right.
on the back 9, i like the par-4 12th hole, with a very steep downhill, the par-4 15th, a dogleg to the left with houses on the right and the creek splitting the fairway, and the nice par-5 18th with water on the left side.
tee off golf designed a great course and deserves to be thanked for his hard work as you will see for yourself...

after reading the comments below, i am quite puzzled, wondering if i played the same course !
first of all, unlike the description, this is a par-72 and not 70...
secondly, even though it plays smoothly, this course looks "naked" : a few trees and nothing else (take a look at the par-4 15th, for example) ! no panorama, no flowers, no bushes, no water...
there are a lot of dogleg holes, mostly on the back 9. on the front 9, the par-4 5th and par-5 7th holes are worth mentioning, just like the par-4 9th with its slanted fairway.
at the par-3 10th hole, there is a... restroom next to the green, the only sign of "life" until the par-4 18th...
formerly named "western avenue", this course does not do it for me... willie, as i will keep other courses from you.

what an incredible course ! after reading the general information from big9324, i can't imagine this course being better than this (but, then again, i did not see the "original" from 2005).
one thing, though, that is puzzling to me is why the designer chose a different pano : was the original not good enough ? anyway, this one is really amazing with all those high rocks and cliffs...
concerning the course itself, the attention to details is obvious : from the great elevation work, especially on the front 9, to the beautiful bridges, the nice vegetation, the old boat, the statue of buddha, the... elephants and the alligators (thank god, they were calm !).
the texture of the fairways is very nice and a lot of holes are beautiful, starting from the dogleg par-5 1st and the par-4 2nd with its nice bridge. on the par-4 3rd and 8th holes, elephants are... staring at you but the best hole, visually, is the par-3 6th with the gorgeous statue of buddha next to the green.
as for the alligators, you get a quick glimpse of both of them on your approach shot to the green (they are in the pond on the right side... next to the old boat)!
the back 9 is much flater but plays very well too : i like the par-4 10th with all those wide bunkers and the par-4 18th with all the water around.
needless to say, this is a must download, thanks to big9234 who came up with a great tribute to his designer friend justastiffy...

charming wee course in a peaceful setting, brought to life by a great design - looks and plays beautifully. a good challenge but not too demanding to get round in under par - the biggest test being the pin positions on difficult. lots of fun, really enjoyed it. cheers!
