A delightful wide-open course with nice vegetation, small rocky cliffs near some holes, plenty of big elongated bunkers along with a few water hazards and some sloped greens, whose putts are sometimes hard to read.
My favorite holes on the front 9 are the par-5 2nd, with a tee shot landing short of a wide bunker, halfway, winding its way all the way across to the left of the fairway, then ending to the right of the green (and over which your approach will fly over twice), and the long par-3 4th (as mentioned by MSR Golf), indeed gorgeous with its island sloped green, with small cliffs behind and a nice little bridge leading to it.
I also like the par-4 6th hole where, despite its distance (around 370 yards), you might be able to reach the green with your driver, after seeing your... blind tee shot land downward a steep slope, two-thirds of the way, in the direction of the green (with two elongated bunkers on both sides and a wide lake behind it).
While the par-3 7th hole is not as scenic as the 4th, it is nice too with a blind and downhill tee shot and a wide green, with the lake halfway around (where you will get your first glimpse at the lobster-shaped rock on the left), just like the very picturesque par-5 8th, where you will need to hit your tee short of the small lake facing you, midway, before hitting your long approach over it to reach the sloped green (rather than follow the fairway, winding its way around on the left, with a big elongated bunker to watch for).
You will finish the front 9 with the pretty par-4 9th hole, with a downhill tee shot landing onto a sloped fairway, with big bunkers on the sides (and a lake on the left), and an uphill approach to the elevated green (with a couple of buildings further back and tennis courts on the left).
The back 9 has some nice panoramic views too, such as on the par-3 11th hole, with trees on top of a high rocky plateau beyond the wide green, and the par-4 13th, with a tee shot over a serpentine path landing short of a small lake across, not too far in front of the green.
On the left dogleg par-5 14th hole, you will need to hit two blind and uphill shots to reach the green (while making sure to avoid a wide bunker in front, on the left), unlike on the pretty right dogleg par-4 15th, where you will hit a steeply-downhill (and blind) tee shot before aiming for the green (with a wide lake on the right).
The par-4 16th hole is a right dogleg, uphill all the way, with a slanted fairway and an elongated bunker along on the right, midway, and crossing in front and past the sloped green on the left (with a big lake behind).
On the last par-3 hole, the 17th, your blind tee shot will land onto a wide green, set between two lakes (with that lobster-shaped rock, again on the far left), before finishing with the pretty left dogleg par-5 18th hole, along a nice path on the left (with a few trees and colorful bushes) where, after hitting a blind and downhill tee shot landing near a big bunker on the right of the slanted fairway, you will face a challenging approach to the elevated and undulating green.
Overall, this Loch Lobster course is one of MSR’s best, offering challenging shots along with a nice scenery to gaze at, and if you can manage to score an eagle or two on the par-5 holes, and handle the small elevation changes, mostly on the back 9, you might be able to... claw your way out to the top of the leaderboard before heading for the clubhouse and enjoy a nice lobster meal as a reward !
Good “loch”...

Just found this one and have to say I am amazed not one person has left a comment before. I played it advanced , dry/ breezy/ difficult pins etc and apart from a couple of really tough roll offs on the greens not only looked great but played very well too. Many thanks for sharing just a damn shame no one else could be bothered .
